A 12-week experience for adults 55+

Your second bell is ringing.

A school for people who are still becoming.

Meet new classmates. Laugh loudly. Tell the stories you have carried. Learn, teach, create—and experience life as a participant again.

No lectures from the sidelines.
A small cohort that learns by living it together.

A different starting point

Most products for older adults see a patient, a dependent or someone waiting for assistance.
So we changed the question.

What if they were simply classmates?

People with curiosity, humour, opinions, unfinished plans and something worth sharing. Encore is a place to meet new connections instead of only missing the old ones.

Life, with the chairs pulled closer

Designed around dignity,
delight and contribution.

Not therapy disguised as community. Not passive entertainment. A warm, structured reason to look forward to the week.

01

Classmates, not patients

Encore begins with curiosity, humour and everything a person still wants to experience—not a list of things they need help with.

02

Participation, not content

Every week invites members to speak, play, make, teach and show up for one another. The people are the experience.

03

A journey, not a feed

A thoughtful 12-week arc creates anticipation, shared memories and the possibility of friendships that continue after graduation.

What Encore feels like

Less “how are you coping?” More “you won’t believe what happened in class.”

Members arrive as individuals and gradually become a class: familiar faces, private jokes, honest conversations and people who notice when you are missing.

  • Live, hosted sessions with a small cohort
  • Playful tasks between classes
  • Space to speak—and space to simply listen
  • A final graduation built from shared memories

A note from the principal's office

Meet Shifi.
She runs the school a little differently.

Shifi is Encore's unseen, mischievous principal. She does not believe anyone graduates from curiosity. She assigns unusual tasks, interrupts predictable days and occasionally insists that the serious business of living includes play.

— The Principal

You are not here to become who you were. You are here to discover who you still might be.

The founding belief

New connections instead of only missing the old ones.

Minds that understand you instead of dismissing you as outdated. Fun activities instead of another afternoon on the couch. A place to express what you feel, share what you know and perhaps leave with a few lifelong bonds.

The founding cohort will be personally operated by Shifi's founder, with every week shaped around the people who enter the room.
